Students-Parents' Guidelines
To ensure
that the daily activities function effectively, all parents and students must
abide by the rules and regulations set by Balag Institute:
1. Girls
must wear abaya and hijab while boys must wear Punjabi/ Jubba and a hat.
2. Parents
must ensure their children arrive 5 minutes before the start of class and are
picked up at the correct time without delay.
3. All
students must always bring their school backpacks and books.
4. Parents
must ensure that students complete any given homework on time.
5. Students
must not bring any electronic devices (phones/ smartwatches) or toys into
class.
6. Students
must not bring any food or drink to class except water.
7. Parents
should encourage students to pray their obligatory salah at home.
8. Any
absences must be reported in writing or by phone to the head teacher or the
class teacher.
9. Please
do not hesitate to contact the class teacher or the head teacher if there are
any concerns.
10. Parents
must notify the headteacher beforehand if a new guardian will be picking up the
student.
11. For the
benefit of the student, parents must notify the teachers if their child has any
learning difficulties.
12. Parents
must show their children how to properly wash up after using the restroom.
Important
Note:
Understanding
an individual's capabilities is a crucial aspect of learning, therefore,
parents
should not
push or demand their children to take on tasks and learn new materials beyond
their
abilities as this can negatively affect the child. Striving to improve
gradually with patience is most vital for their education.
